Thanks for a great summer everyone!

Repeat riders, please note, our rental shop is NOW at a new location in the American Tin Cannery Outlets (Suite 122, 125 Ocean View Blvd, Pacific Grove).   Look for us on the front porch, one block from the Aquarium, directly across the street from Hopkins Marine Lab. (Click on map below).

Our favorite place to explore is just outside the back door, from miles of beach riding to miles of paved paths.  Hop onto the Monterey Bay Coastal Recreation Trail, or for those who like to ride fast, cruise the bike lanes at 20 mph past Lover’s Point and Asilomar, smelling the ocean, hearing the waves, and stopping easily at all the amazing viewpoints.  A little further, and you can ride 17-mile drive to iconic Lone Cypress and Ghost Tree.

For those with a little more time, continue on to  Carmel, getting lost among the shops and cottages. And just a couple miles down Highway 1 from Carmel lies “the crown jewel of the State Park System,” Point Lobos State Reserve.

Our powerful 750 watt e-bikes carry you easily up the hilly streets of Pacific Grove and Carmel.  Expect a range of 20-50 miles per battery, so the 34 mile round trip to Point Lobos via 17-Mile Drive requires little effort when you rent an extra battery ($10).

Electric Bikes (reserve half-day & full-day.  first come, first serve hourly):
$20 per hr, $10 for each additional hour, $70 all day, $10 each additional day (overnight rentals)

NOTE: Thanksgiving and Christmas:

Our doors will be closed, but if you're staying in the area have a FREE DAY on us. Rent the day before, keep the bikes on the holiday for free, return the following day.  Max $80 charge per bike for 3-day rental.

Regular Bikes (first come, first serve):
$10 per hr, $5 for each additional hour, $35 all day, $5 each additional day (overnight rentals)

About the bikes...

"The bike that makes you feel like a kid again."

Our most popular bikes are our fat-tire electric bikes.  We recommend the RadMini for riders shorter than 5'4".  Taller riders fit well on either the RadMini or the RadRover.

Few electric bikes are built to handle the hilly terrain and dirt roads of Coastal California.  Rad Power Bikes in Seattle has recently introduced a pair of bikes with the maximum power allowed on electric bikes in California....more than capable of leveling out this terrain.

Quality bikes in their own right with 7-speed Shimano gearing and disc brakes, they also provide power via a twist-throttle and a 5-speed "cruise control" pedal assist.  The range on level ground varies from 25-50 miles.

For those with children wishing to go out we can add a tag-along for $5 per hr.  Or rent one of our "RadWagon" cargo bikes with a seat for kids on the back.
